2026 Book Forecast

I did some foreshadowing of my 2026 Reading Goals last weekend: 120 books, 26 of which must come from my TBR.

BUT THERE’S MORE!

I need to mix it up this year. I really enjoyed my library tours last year, so I’m adding an element of that this year. I have set the goal of visiting 20 library branches I have never been to before. That’s the only rule: they can be in one of my networks, they can be systems for which I don’t have a card. I won’t be checking out any books – I’m still a Highgate partisan as I’m sure you remember. Just taking pictures of interesting titles to look for at Highgate later. 

BUT THAT’S NOT ENOUGH!

I’m also going to visit 10 indie bookstores, also that I have never visited. I love a good indie, and they’re more important than ever in the age of Amazon. And there are a lot to choose from in Southwestern Ontario!  I’ve started my list, but if you have any local faves, leave a comment and let me know all about them!
