Chatham-Kent is an agricultural wonder. Thousands of farms growing the traditional cash crops, and a great variety of fruit as well. And it’s strawberry season! Scott’s Strawberry Farm south of Highgate has beautiful berries. Going to make some jam, and freeze some for later.

Spring 2021
I planted my garden! It’s bigger than I had originally anticipated, but my cousin worked up some land for me, so I had better make good use of it! Planting took longer than expected. Restaurants, museums, galleries, were all closed, so I couldn’t go to my old haunts anyway. And, I had a couple of friends from highContinue reading “August 2020”
Hi! I’m Rhonda!
Where to begin? Where to begin? I guess, at the beginning. I’m Rhonda, the RC of RC Country Life. I grew up in the country, on a farm. I imagine, by most objective opinions, it was a pretty idyllic way to grow up. But by the time I hit my teens, I HATED it. Couldn’tContinue reading “Hi! I’m Rhonda!”
