Is this it?

I turned 50 last week, friends. Yes, the big 5-0. And it was not the 50th I had planned. And I had big plans. But 2 years of un- and under-employment, and Covid, put the pin in those plans. Maybe for my 55th?

So how did I spend my day? I worked in the morning, then went for a pedicure. A “luxury” pedicure, which included a hot stone massage. It was actually pretty good. Then I went for my free birthday beverage from Starbucks. Nothing better than a $9 coffee! And came home to discover 2 separate flower deliveries from my great friends Sinead, and Yvonne and Kyle. So that perked me up. And, of course, the Facebook messages from near and far. Thank you, so much, for thinking of me!

I didn’t bake an elaborate birthday cake – I would usually just take one piece, and the rest would go to waste. And with working full time, it’s harder to find the time. That was pretty much a non event.
